BANDtroductions is a free, music-first social platform created in Maine for independent bands, musicians, venues, fans, photographers, promoters, and businesses that support the scene. It was founded by Mike Bergeron in March 2026 and is expanding far beyond Maine.
Unlike a general social network, BANDtroductions is dedicated to music. Members can build profiles, share music and show announcements, connect directly, discover local talent and venues, listen to independent artists on BANDtroductions Radio, watch performance videos on BTV, and buy, sell, or trade equipment through the Gear Exchange.
There are no algorithms deciding which members deserve to be seen, and the platform keeps politics and unrelated noise out of the community. The goal is simple: give the independent music scene one useful place to connect, discover, and grow.
Bands can showcase who they are, what they play, and whether they’re looking for new members. Instead of posting across multiple groups and hoping the right person sees it, bands can be discovered by musicians actively searching for a project.

Yes. Creating an account, joining the community, building a profile, connecting with members, and using the platform's core music-scene features are free. Optional promotional upgrades and sponsorship opportunities help support the platform.
Bands, solo artists, musicians, venues, fans, photographers, promoters, radio shows, and businesses that genuinely support independent music are welcome. BANDtroductions began in Maine, but the community is open to the independent music scene everywhere.
